Never copper-plated. We use high purity copper.
The handle is welded on which will not loosen or leak like riveted handles.
Each mug is handcrafted with food-safe exterior lacquer and raw copper on the inside.
A trusted source for copper drinkware and barware for over a decade.
Most copper mugs are a thin coating of copper over a stainless steel.
You cannot see it in a a photo. But you know once the finish wears off or the handle leaks. Ours are different by construction:
The single most common copper-mug worry answered before you buy instead of after.
Even after your first use or after a few, the raw-copper interior turns darker with patches of brown or near-black spots. Sometimes confused as "fake".
Real, unsealed copper oxidizes on contact with air and liquid. Plated stainless steel does not do this. The color change is literal proof your mug is solid copper.
Hand wash and dry after each use. Use a polishing cream or equal parts of salt and lemon to remove oxidation. Always thoroughly dry copper.
Our 5.5" or 7.5" copper straws are the ideal drinking straw for any beverage
Unlike traditional cocktail straws, the smooth finished copper brings an elegant appeal to an otherwise wasteful, tacky drinking utensil.
We recommend using the small copper straws with several of our own copper mugs, such as, The Barrel, The Original, or even The Stein. We recommend the large copper straws for taller cups or mugs including The Roosevelt.
Gift yourself the gift of copper, or surprise a friend with something they’re sure to use (and need). You can never have too many reusable straws.
Both sets come with four copper straws. Get one of each or double down on whatever makes the most sense in your kitchen, restaurant or bar.
Copper Straws are an ideal gift for friends and family, too. The straws offer an easy way to cut down on plastic waste, and they’re perfectly portable for on-the-go beverages. Our small set comes with four 5.5” straws, ideal for short glasses. For taller drinks, check out our set of large copper straws, measuring 7.5” long.
Served with a Straw
This classic mug features a beautiful, hand-hammered finish and an oversized rounded copper handle. This ROOSEVELT style of mug is a throwback to the 1940’s cup that the first Moscow Mules were most famously served in.
A spin on the traditional Moscow Mule mug looks no better than The Barrel, our 100% pure copper mug with an oversized, rounded copper handle. As opposed to The Original copper mug, The Barrel’s 100% copper build brings the rustic aesthetic to another level without losing the appeal of its sleek, glossy finish.
Our original, smooth Moscow Mule mug is a staple for any barware collection. The glossy, smooth aesthetic and rustic essence of copper with a welded brass handle represents true elegance and artistry.
Why are metal straws better than plastic?
Plastic straws seem to be a staple in beverage culture. Whether you’re ordering coffee, cocktails or a collagen smoothie, it’s served with a straw. Most times, it’s a plastic one. These straws are rarely recyclable, and even if they are, it’s likely they’ll slip through the cracks of recycling machines, ending up in landfills. Compostable straws are a better alternative, but still create waste. Metal straws are the only reusable option that are guaranteed to last a lifetime without ever hurting the environment. They’re durable, portable, and functional for any type of beverage.
Copper naturally reacts with air, moisture, and the liquids it comes into contact with. This process, known as oxidation, will cause tarnishing that appears as dark spots, black marks or discoloration.
Because our items are handcrafted, you may also notice slight variations or imperfections in the finish. These are a natural result of the handmade process and part of what makes each piece unique.
Do not place copper in the dishwasher or microwave. Do not use with hot liquids.
Clean copper products with mild dish soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly using a soft cloth. To remove tarnish, use a Metal Cleaner intended for copper. For additional details, visit our Care Page.
