The original hand-hammered copper barrel mug is a close cousin to the Moscow Mule mug. This classic barware essential distinguishes itself with a barreled shape, yielding a slightly larger holding capacity. This mug features a hand-hammered copper exterior to give a textured, rustic appeal. The hammered exterior also supports the copper mug’s natural cooling properties.

Its oversized, welded copper handle is another unique feature of the original barrel mug to make for a more natural grip. Each of our mugs are manufactured with a food-grade lacquer on the external only to prevent tarnishing and other wear, ensuring the utmost quality and longevity of your copper drinkware.

Copper naturally reacts with air, moisture, and the liquids it comes into contact with. This process, known as oxidation, will cause tarnishing that appears as dark spots, black marks or discoloration.

Because our items are handcrafted, you may also notice slight variations or imperfections in the finish. These are a natural result of the handmade process and part of what makes each piece unique.

Do not place copper in the dishwasher or microwave. Do not use with hot liquids.

Clean copper products with mild dish soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly using a soft cloth. To remove tarnish, use a Metal Cleaner intended for copper. For additional details, visit our Care Page.

SHIPPING: In-stock items ship within 1-2 business days via UPS or USPS. UPS and USPS typically deliver within 3–5 business days using ground service but varies depending on location. Please note that UPS does not deliver to P.O. boxes. Processing times may be extended during periods of high volume.

RETURNS: Our products are handcrafted. Natural properties of copper including minor variations in the copper and oxidation from exposure to liquids, heat, or acidity are normal and not considered defects. These characteristics are not eligible for return.
